Report: Chelsea to raise funds for Havertz, Chilwell moves by selling €60m duo to Milan and Inter

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea look set to raise some much-needed money to fund their summer transfer spree by sending two players to Milano, a report claims.

The Blues have ambitious transfer plans for the summer having already welcomed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner from Ajax and RB Leipzig respectively, with rumours that moves for Kai Havertz, Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva are also moving in the right direction.

According to insider Nicolo Schira on Twitter, Chelsea are working to sell a couple of players to Italy in order to help finance these big moves.

He reports that Tiemoue Bakayoko is closing in on a move to Milan, where he spent the 2018-19 season on loan from Serie A, while Emerson Palmieri is in talks with Inter over a move to the blue half of the same city.

For both players the price and the formula of the deal would be the same, as Marina Granovskaia has given the green light for the duo to leave on loan with a €30m option to buy.
