Report: Ibrahimovic and Milan set to continue together – the details of his new contract

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to face Mino Raiola to discuss the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic shortly, reports claim, with positive signs filtering.

The Swede showed his value despite being 38 years of age as he helped catapult Milan following his arrival. The team ended the season with a run of 12 league games without defeat (including nine wins), with Ibrahimovic netting 10 times in Serie A.

Now the attention has turned towards the future of the striker, with multiple outlets now suggesting that he will sign a renewal to remain for at least the 2020-21 campaign.

According to Tuttosport on Monday (via MilanNews), contacts between the Rossoneri management and Raiola are continuing, and the signs that arrive are positive.

Therefore the agreement between the parties seems to be only a matter of days away, since there is the will to all parties involved to continue together. Zlatan has left for his summer holidays, but is ready to return immediately to Milan for the signing of the contract as soon as Raiola and Milan have found an agreement for the extension of at least another year.

Il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) are equally optimistic, claiming that an agreement on the basis of a fixed salary of €4.5million net plus bonuses (which could boost it to €6.5m) is not far away.
