Report: ‘The last gift’ – Milan could reunite Fonseca with former Lille attacker

By Ben Dixon -

The mercato closes in a few days time, and AC Milan could treat Paulo Fonseca to a last-minute signing of one of his former favourites.

This summer, the midfield has been the area of focus, and Milan have been engaged in negotiations all summer to buy a new holding midfielder. However, there is now another area that the club are looking to improve and that is an attacking midfielder.

Whilst Christian Pulisic has featured as the Trequartista recently, whether it will be his permanent position remains to be seen, and there have been doubts about Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the past as well, which could open a route to a new No.10 arriving.

According to a report from Turkish outlet Sporx (via Milan News), Yusuf Yazici’s name is once again on the radar at Casa Milan and the management could give the midfielder ‘more than a passing thought’. Whilst Nice are also considering a move for the player, Yazici prefers a move to Italy, and the move could be a ‘last gift’ to the coach this summer.

Given reports have stated that the Rossoneri must focus on departures before they add any other players to the squad, the move could be questionable. Especially considering there are two players who could confidently challenge for a place ahead of the Turkish midfielder.

However, the midfielder is currently without a club, so perhaps it could be a shrewd bit of business on a free.

    1. Again with a No10, why, why is the need for one, I simply despair, if you want to reunite go for Jonathan David, or watch him sign for Inter as a free agent next summer and fall even more behind

  1. Please we really need Yusuf yazici and pulisic for attacking midfield and please Fonseca please promote liberali, torriani and Chaka Traore they’re important for us so that Acmilan can be solid in playing attacking football then another thing please we need Gabbia and Pavlovic

  2. “Hate” is a strong word and to let that go all over the Turkish players out there.
But anyways, hopefully this is a rumour. He was good at one point and it’s a reason he is a free agent now. But at the same time, nothing surprises me with this club these days

  3. Yaaaaaawn oh mate really???? Fuck what a shit show of a football club even Atalanta are much much better run than the clowns of Ac Milano!!! Mind the gap…

  4. LOL. Of course of course – nothing like a free player nobody wants….

Fits well with this managements transfer strategy. Can’t wait to see him battle it out w Jovic lol

    Very ambitious!!!!🤡🤡🤡😂😂😂

  5. Prepare boys for 2 major blows…Leao and Hernandez will be cashed in soon…most probably this winter…until than bet against Milan, you will win good money

    1. Make it € 20000 with BB bet. I bet € 10000 too that ACM wont sell them in winter market. But they should sell theo in summer 2025 if he still not renew his contract

    2. DING DING DING! The best part is all the sorry Milan “supporters” who get super excited about the owners lining their pockets instead of spending money on talented players. As soon as these sales start coming all you’ll hear is how “overrated” they were and how we “needed the money” and it can be “better invested” now hahaha. Same clowns were claiming money couldn’t be spent 3 years ago because we need to “make the UCL consistently” and then we can open the wallet. Well considering we’re actually spending less now than we were prior to making the UCL I’d love to know what that was all about. Anyways YAY for Don Gerry getting richer whooo hoooo!

  6. Buy Baturina from Dinamo if we need a player for that position, not some scraps again. We had the opportunity to get Olmo but he was 10M too expensive as well. Buy young players, what happened to Samardzic and the alternative? Nothing, they though they will buy him for 12M and Atalanta doubled the bid. LOL Are you all guys serious about this transfer window?
