By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are attentive to the contract situation surrounding Napoli winger Jose Callejon, according to a report.

With Stefano Pioli now in charge, it is possible that the former Lazio and Fiorentina boss could ask for reinforcements in certain areas.

In addition to this, the club’s hierarchy are always attentive to potential bargains, with money available in the January window.

Rossoneri director Zvonomir Boban also expressed frustration at not being able to sign some more experienced players over the summer, something he backed up during Pioli’s presentation as the new head coach last week.

According to a report on Calciomercatonews.com – who cite Calciomercato.it – Milan are monitoring the situation surrounding Napoli winger Jose Callejon.

The Spaniard’s deal runs out at the end of the season has apparently rejected the most recent proposal as he wants a pay rise.

With his future in Naples now uncertain, the possibility of a free transfer in the summer ‘could entice the Rossoneri leadership’, though strong competition is expected.

Callejon has made 313 appearances for Napoli and has an impressive record, scoring 79 goals and adding 72 assists.
