Report: Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt locked in talks over winger – deal could be finalised soon

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are closing in on signing winger Ante Rebic from Eintracht Frankfurt on a permanent basis, according to a report.

As Calciomercato.it note, Rebic has achieved redemption in the second half of the season by netting 12 goals, after struggling to even get on the field at all before the Christmas break.

On Wednesday, technical director Paolo Maldini met the agent of the attacker – Fali Ramadani – to set up the operation with Eintracht Frankfurt before the expiry of the loan agreement in 2021.

The Croatian arrived at Milan on the basis of a two-year loan with striker André Silva going the other way on the same terms, and the outlet adds that the Milan-Frankfurt axis is proceeding quickly and soon there may be a white smoke.

Rebic is a player requested by head coach Stefano Pioli as his own future has become clear and he will be staying beyond the summer, having signed a two-year deal earlier today.
