Report: Milan and Everton hoping to strike Niang deal

AC Milan’s mercato continues to move at an alarmingly fast rate, but one player who remains in the dark is M’Baye Niang.

The Frenchman spent the second half of the 2016/17 season on loan at Premier League side Watford, where he impressed to begin with before ultimately not doing enough to justify his buy-out clause.

As reported by Sportitalia, Milan and Everton could reopen the negotiation with regard to Niang. The French striker is not part of the plans Vincenzo Montella, and his sale is apparently on the agenda of Fassone and Mirabelli.

Recent reports suggest Milan are looking for alternatives for the wing rather than sticking with Niang. Names such as Keita Balde and Emil Forsberg have been mentioned, while the return of Gerard Deulofeu remains a distant possibility.

The Rossoneri have already added quality to their squad this summer with the likes of Mateo Musacchio, Franck Kessie, Ricardo Rodriguez and Andre Silva arriving.
