AC Milan forward Divock Origi could be a target for Saudi Pro League team Al-Ettifaq who are now being coached by Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, a report claims.
As has been reported on Twitter by Sacha Tavolieri, Al-Ettifaq are contemplating making a bid for the Belgian striker who Milan are very keen to sell this summer.
Origi joined Milan last summer on a free transfer from Liverpool and there were hopes that he would rival Olivier Giroud for the main striker role throughout the campaign.
That is not how things panned out as he spent much of the campaign injured, and then even when he was fit, his impact was almost non-existent.
For that reason, Milan would like to turn a profit on him and Gerrard could create that opportunity. There is no official bid from the Saudi Pro League team but were one to arrive, Milan would likely respond very quickly.
And Origi would respond even quicker: “look how cosy that bench looks”.
If that club can give similar or higher wage, perhaps he will take it.
Some hope
A flickering candle on a cold damp night…but yes there’s hope.
The media will currently link Gerrard’s club to every ex Liverpool player out there, it’s an easy article.
I hone he stay with us, since they are not willing to spend money for the team,
I mean, l hope he stay
They must offer 8m euro nett to make origi interested move to saudi league .
I don’t see anything origi doing in the team but I understand he just joined and he doesn’t have much time to play
