Report: Milan hold talks over €40m Tonali deal as Inter stall; two other midfielders targeted

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have held talks with the entourage of Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali about a summer move but Inter remain on pole, it is claimed.

The Rossoneri continue to be linked with a move for the 20-year-old who has gone on the record multiple teams about being a boyhood fan of the club.

According to Marco Ramiccia on Twitter, there have actually been contacts between the last few hours between Milan and the entourage of Tonali, hoping to take advantage of Inter’s stall.

Inter remain ahead in the race but they are reflecting after the recent performances of the player, plus they are frightened by the request of €40m plus bonuses. Instead they wanted to close a deal around €30m.

Milan have asked for time, but are monitoring the situation with interest and are evaluating the possibility of making an offer in the next 10 days, despite the strong candidacy of Marc Roca – for whom there was an informal proposal to his agents a few days ago – and Florentino Luis.
