Report: Milan in talks with agent of €60m Real Madrid man; Arsenal, Napoli looking to derail

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have reached out to the agent of Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic to register an interest, it is claimed, but there are two obstacles at present.

The Serbia international has struggled since his big-money €60million move to the Santiago Bernabeu from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, leading to suggestions he could depart after just 12 months.

According to transfer source Alessandro Jacobone, Milan are working with agent Fali Ramadani and have registered their interest in Jovic.

However at present there are two obstacles which are in the Rossoneri’s way, the first being the competition from Napoli, RB Leipzig and Arsenal.

The second thing currently standing in Milan’s way is the fact that the 22-year-old currently earns a net salary of €5m-a-year, and while that wouldn’t be the most on the club’s books currently (Donnarumma earns €6m) it is still above the threshold which Elliott Management and CEO Ivan Gazidis wish to impose.
