Report: Milan, Inter and Roma keen as Argentine giants slash asking price for striker

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are fighting with Inter and Roma for the signing of San Lorenzo starlet Adolfo Gaich whose asking price has been slashed, a report claims.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reported earlier on Thursday that the Rossoneri have been on Gaich’s tail for quite some time and have initiated contacts with San Lorenzo and the player’s agent, as a price tag of around €15m has been set.

The first choice remains Luka Jovic of Real Madrid, who Milan would like to sign with a loan formula, but Gaich may not be a bad alternative as he has scored five goals in 12 appearances and continues to improve, attracting the interest of Inter and Benfica too.

According to Calciomercato.com, San Lorenzo are actually willing to accept as little as €8m to sell their prized young asset this summer and would even agree to a paid loan with obligation to buy set at €4m and €4m. Roma are also interested.

The 21-year-old is 190 centimetres long and weighs about 82kg, known for his impressive quality and physical strength. In Argentina, he’s already received the nickname ‘Tanque’ (tank). He does not have a European passport but can easily obtain one, the report adds.
