AC Milan have a strong interest in signing Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer this summer, according to a report.
Sky Italia recently reported that Milan are keen on reinforcing their defensive ranks by signing Ajer, a player they have been tracking for months but who is also attracting interest from the Premier League.
According to The Scottish Sun, the Rossoneri have a concrete interest in signing the Norway international, a player that Rangnick raved about before RB Leipzig’s Europa League clashes against Celtic in 2018.
Ajer joined the Scottish side four years ago from IK Start for just £650,000, but it is believed that he could now command a fee upwards of £20m (around €22million).
Interestingly, the report confirms how Ajer split from agent Tore Pedersen last month and signed up with top Dutch agency SEG – perhaps a big indication that he is pushing for a summer move with Milan and clubs from England beginning to circle.
