AC Milan have come up with an interesting way to try and get Franck Kessie to renew his contract amid reported interest from Spurs.
Kessie’s contract with Milan will expire next summer and given his importance to the team, he wants a pay rise that reflects it, which has led to complications it seems. Meanwhile, as reported by Alessandro Jacobone, the agent of Kessie – George Atangana – has also been in contact with other clubs and Tottenham have put an offer of €8m net per year for five years on the table.
According to the latest from Nicolo Schira on Twitter, the Rossoneri are still determined to find an agreement so as not to lose yet another key asset on the cheap. The latest offer presented by the management to Atangana is an extension until 2026 with salary to go up in stages.
In 2021-22 it would be €5.5m net per season plus bonuses, in 2022-23 it would be the same, in 2023-24 it would rise to €6m plus bonuses and by 2024-25 and 2025-26 he’d be on €6.5m fixed per season.
