Report: Milan ready to give up on €23m signing deemed not in Rangnick’s plans

By Oliver Fisher -

Reports from Spain have arrived confirming that Rafael Leao’s position at AC Milan is far from certain after a disappointing season.

Despite Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s suspension for the Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against Juventus, Ante Rebic was preferred as the lone striker in place of Leao who seemed a more natural fit.

Widespread reports are claiming that Leao will also start on the bench for the game against Lecce on Monday night, meaning another rejected for the summer signing who has scored just twice all season.

There have been whispers that the Portuguese starlet is even considered sellable by Milan if a good offer arrives, and TodoFichajes claims that Leao is not included in the plans of the next coach Ralf Rangnick.

Milan not want to sell the 21-year-old off and it will take a tempting proposal on an economic level to let the No.17 leave, while a loan is not excluded.
