Report: Milan reject bid from Bundesliga high-flyers for winger Hauge – the details

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have rejected a loan offer for winger Jens Petter Hauge from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, according to a report.

The story of Hauge’s arrival is somewhat of a fairytale as he arrived at San Siro for a Europa League qualifier against Milan and by the end of the night we had reported exclusively about Milan’s interest in the Norwegian youngster.

A move was completed in the coming days, and he has had an exciting start to life in Italy. So far Hauge has four goals in all competitions for the Rossoneri including three in Europe and one in the league against Napoli.

During an interview earlier today he revealed he feels he has made the right choice in moving to the San Siro over some of the other teams that were interested like Manchester United, Atalanta and Red Bull Salzburg.

According to Nicolo Schira on Twitter, Leverkusen came forward with a loan offer for Hauge last week. However, the Rossoneri did not entertain the idea of sending the 21-year-old on loan.

  1. So why don’t play him? You prefer Madzukic or Rebic in left wing role? Wtf Pioli? What ia wrong with you? Even if he didn’t impress in the last 2 matches he is much better for linkup play. Madzukic don’t make defensive phase at all and rebic is a joke of a player.. when you pass him, almost allways the ball jumps from his wooden legs like creazy

  2. Wow calm down mate. Have some respect to someone who literally SOMEHOW put us on the top of the table right now.

First of all, the competition in our left wing is fierce, there’s Rebic, Leao, Hauge and finally Mandzo too now. The fact that we still didn’t let him go means we’re putting our trust in him. Given that he’s still very young and came from entirely different culture/league, he probably needs some time to adjust and have to be slowly introduced to the team. Having said that, he does already have a lot of minutes under his belt considering! Hauge is my personal choice of starter left wing too, but let’s see how Pioli plays his card, after all he’s the one monitoring these players on daily basis, not me or you.

And did you just diss Rebic? lol.

    1. Did you like the game against Inter? Or against Atalanta? They dominated us havily. Pioli’s Milan is a good team but without color in midfield. 4-2-3-1 is way to predictible. And small details like a left wing who don’t lose the ball easy and when he does, comes in defense to recover it can make the difference. About Rebic, time will tell but he would be my 4th choice. Andre Silva is way better than him.. i cannot understand this transaction.
