Report: Milan set to miss out as Inter are one step away from finalising €35m Tonali deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan look set to miss out on the signature of Sandro Tonali as Inter are closing in on a total agreement with Brescia, according to a report.

The Rossoneri continue to be linked with a move for the 20-year-old who has gone on the record multiple teams about being a boyhood fan of the club, though rivals Inter continue to be linked by most major media outlets.

According to BresciaOggi, Tonali is one step away from being confirmed as a new Nerazzurri player as in the last few hours the negotiation seems to have unlocked.

Brescia president Massimo Cellino has decided to accept the offer from Inter of €35million including bonuses, of which €32m is fixed and payable over four seasons, even if Cellino will ask for it to be made in three.

Tonali is the player that head coach Antonio Conte has specifically requested for the midfield, and there has been an agreement on salary between the entourage of the player and Inter for a while on the basis of €2.5million per year net.

The report does add that for the moment Milan are not giving up but they have decided not to participate in an auction. They will only come into play if the deal with Inter fades.
