Report: Milan, Spurs and Chelsea all in race to land €60m-rated Serbia international

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in the idea of signing Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, a report claims, but they face fierce competition from three clubs.

Los Blancos paid a big sum to land the Serbia international from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, with many outlets reporting the fee was around €60million.

However, his start to life at the Santiago Bernabeu has not exactly gone to plan, as the 22-year-old has just two goals in 22 appearances across all competitions having largely played second fiddle to Karim Benzema.

According to the latest from Mundo Deportivo, Jovic is likely to leave Real Madrid this summer and there are several clubs showing an interest. Milan and Napoli are said to be ‘very interested’ in the former Benfica man, with the latter even having apparently held discussions with his agent.

Meanwhile, London rivals Tottenham and Chelsea are also waiting to see what happens with Jovic’s situation having sniffed a potential opportunity.

At this point the only issue is that Real Madrid will want to recover the €60million they paid for the young forward, something which seems difficult to imagine them getting given the way his stock has declined.
