Report: Milan in talks with Wales’ goalkeeping coach after Wolves departure

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan recently said goodbye to two goalkeeping coaches and have thus opened talks with current Wales and former Wolves goalkeeping coach Tony Roberts, a report claims.

After Dida decided to leave his position as the goalkeeping coach back in the summer of 2022, Milan brought in their former coach Flavio Roma as the new head of the goalkeepers. However, the 49-year-old decided to leave earlier this month.

In addition to Roma, Emiliano Betti who was part of the goalkeeping staff will also leave the club. Gigi Ragno is the remaining coach and Milan are currently on the hunt for some new staff for the goalkeepers.

According to the English outlet Express and Star, Tony Roberts has left Wolves and is currently in talks with Milan over a role at the club. He has also been the goalkeeping coach of Wales’ national team since 2016 and he’s very experienced, which is why the Rossoneri are interested.
