Report: Milan to bid for ideal Romagnoli partner – €30m asking price, two counterparts possible

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are ready to submit an offer for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic, a report claims, with two possible counterparts.

The Rossoneri are widely reported to be in the market for a central defender who can partner captain Alessio Romagnoli. Leo Duarte has been riddled with injury problems, while there are doubts about the futures of Simon Kjaer and Mateo Musacchio, and Matteo Gabbia is still very young.

Reinforcements are needed, and according to TodoFichajes it is Milenkovic who has been identified as the number one target, with the club now ready to submit an offer to La Viola.

The asking price is €30million at present, but this is a figure which could be reduced with the inclusion of a player as a counterpart.

Fiorentina have been following playmaker Lucas Paqueta for some time and the Brazilian could be the right name, but also pay attention to Davide Calabria. Milenkovic’s contract meanwhile will expire on June 30, 2022.
