Junior Messias joined AC Milan on the last day of the summer mercato last year, much to the surprise of the Rossoneri fans. He could be on his way out already, though, but the Rossoneri must make a decision on that.
After failing to get their primary target, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara turned to the 30-year-old last summer and got the deal done late. They paid around €2.5m to Crotone for the loan and also included a €5.5m buy-out clause.
Messias found the back of the net six times and also assisted three goals this past season, but his performances were quite inconsistent. Therefore, Milan are yet to decide what to do and in the meantime, the newly-promoted Monza have expressed their interest.
This was reported by Il Tempo (via MilanNews), adding that Milan could ask for a discount on the buy-out clause as Crotone have been relegated to Serie C. After signing him, they could perhaps open talks with Monza.
Junior was good this season, but we need to keep improving on the right side.
What, Monza will pay us more than 8M for him? Yeah, not really.
This article is weird… suggesting that Milan buy him at discounted price and then sell for more to Monza??? How is that possible? If Milan do not activate the existing clause, Monza can just buy him directly at cheaper prize from Crotone.
