Report: Newcastle join AC Milan and Arsenal in hunt for €60m-rated striker

By Oliver Fisher -

Newcastle United have become the latest club to join the race for Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, according to a report.

Sky Italia reported last night (via MilanNews) that a meeting took place on Wednesday with Fali Ramadani – the agent of Ante Rebic – during which Jovic was also brought up in conversation.

Real Madrid have not yet decided if they want to sell the Serbia international, let alone allow him to depart on loan. In addition, at the moment Los Merengues value the Serbian practically the same amount that was paid last year, that is €60million.

According to the Shields Gazette, Newcastle have become the latest side to join the hunt for Jovic, along with Hertha Berlin, Milan and Arsenal.

The 22-year-old has found himself behind the likes of Rodrygo, Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard, Vinicius Junior and Marco Asensio this season, having made just nine starts and having scored just twice.

The Premier League side’s scouting department are ‘looking into the merits’ of a potential loan move, the report claims.
