Report: Palermo initiate talks with Milan over loan of young goalkeeper

In addition to signings, AC Milan also have a few departures to take care of and not just permanent ones, but also loans. Alessandro Plizzari is one of the players that, once again, should be sent out on loan.

The youngster spent the second half of this past season on loan at Lecce, but he ended up making just three appearances for the Serie B side. He conceded two goals and kept one clean sheet, with his side registering three draws in the process.

It’s clear that Plizzari needs more consistent playing time next season to continue his development and work is underway for a better loan move. According to Italian journalist Schira, newly-promoted Palermo have opened talks with Milan. His contract will the Rossoneri will expire in 2023, meaning a renewal is also needed.

Brescia are also interested in the 22-year-old and it seems a Serie B is on the cards for him. It will be interesting to see if this can be the breakout season for Plizzarri, but it’s also clear that Mike Maignan is Milan’s goalkeeper for the future. A good capital gain would be nice, still.
