Report: Pioli tries out key change in front three ahead of Bologna game

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli could make a key change to the starting XI for the trip to Bologna on Sunday, according to a report.

The Rossoneri travel to the Stadio Renata dall’Ara looking to build on their 1-0 win over Parma last weekend, but they do so still suffering with a lack of goalscoring options.

So far Krzysztof Piatek has amassed just one goals from open play all season (three in total), while Rafael Leao also has one goal. Theo Hernandez – the starting left-back – is currently the team’s joint-top scorer.

As per Football Italia, Pioli is planning changes ahead of this weekend’s fixture, with ‘the latest training ground reports’ claiming that a trident of Hakan Calhanoglu and Suso either side of Leao was tried out.

Piatek would of course move down to the bench as a consequence, which hardly squashes rumours that he could be set for an exit as early as January.
