Report: PSG join race for €35m Chelsea midfielder who is ‘dreaming’ of Milan return

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan will face competition if they make a concrete move for midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer, according to a report.

Bakayoko joined Milan on a season-long loan in summer 2018 and won over the hearts of Gennaro Gattuso and the fans, but Gattuso’s departure meant that Milan did not use their €35million option to buy the Frenchman from Chelsea.

Instead he moved back to former club Monaco, again on a season long loan, though speculation regarding a possible return to San Siro has never gone away.

Calciomercato.com claimed in February that Bakayoko’s dream is to return to the San Siro and play for the Rossoneri again, as you could gauge from the multiple interviews in which he has expressed his love for the club.

According to a report on Calciomercato.com though – which cites Le10Sport – Milan are not the only team who are among the possible destinations for Bakayoko.

In addition to Milan, Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo has cast his eyes upon the Frenchman as he looks for possible midfield reinforcements, and this is of course significant as the Brazilian held the same role at Milan when Bakayoko signed.
