Antonio Conte has been officially announced as Tottenham’s new manager and he has two AC Milan players on his list of potential targets, a report claims.
According to MilanLive, Franck Kessie is a target for the Italian as he wanted the 24-year-old at Inter when he was Nerazzurri boss. Kessie’s contract is expiring at the end of the season meaning he could make the move to the Premier League on a free transfer and give a big boost to the muscle of the Spurs midfield.
It also cannot be excluded that at the end of the season the Spurs may turn to Alessio Romagnoli too as per the report, as the captain is very unlikely to renew his contract due to the tensions with his agent Mino Raiola and the fact the management are not willing to extend him at the same salary.
If he were to turn to the 3-5-2 he used at Inter, Conte will probably try to sign a left-footed central defender as per the source. Calciomercato.it also believe Romagnoli to be a potential target, adding that he could depart for €10m in January.

Imagine leaving AC Milan..a team on the rise, that can win trophies and plays UCL foootball, for Spurs?
Probably they are used to dark periods and care about money only. Some people get scared of potential success, fame and responsibility not to ruin it, scared to fail or smth. Romagnoli reminds me that type of people who are not winners or leaders. They are like home guards. Good at doing regular job, like farming, doing office paper job, but not the best partners when you need to go for fortune or open a business. Too practical, too careful, no courage, no risks. Even when the entire team made huge two steps forward, he made one backward and dropped the quality he used to show when we were 5th in the league. So, probably he just wants to be 5th in another league. Same as Kessie. Even being extremely good at his position he drops his quality when we go hunting for big trophies like UCL.
I would prefer that both of them stays beyond this season but if we isn’t able or willing to negotiate renewals on their tems and we are actually in a position to get 10 mil for romagnoli this january we should atleast also be able to get 15 mil for kessie and then we should settle for it as 25 mil would get us some opportunities in the market. Sign kamara and get a backup cb that is ready to fight for a starting spot and it would pretty much mean a status quo for the quality of the team. Potentially there could even be enough cash to bring in belotti as well. Kamara + belotti propably would coist a bit over ten mil euros combined as both has expiring contracts while the rest could be invested on a solid upcomming cb.
