The agent of Angel Correa – Augustin Jimenez – has reportedly suggested to AC Milan a way that they could get a deal for his client over the line.
In what has become a tedious and drawn-out transfer saga, Milan appear to be no closer to landing Correa despite having agreed personal terms with him some time ago.
The Argentine is understood to be keen on a move to Milan, but Atletico to this point are refusing to lower their €50m asking price.
On Tuesday we exclusively reported that Correa is continuing to wait for Milan, and that his representative was due to fly in for talks with the Rossoneri.
However, his agent instead went to Madrid to try and thrash out a deal with Atleti, who in turn were understood to be closing in on Valencia’s Rodrigo as a replacement.
That deal appears to have fallen through for now though, meaning everything is back to square one with Milan and Atletico at stand-off once again over a fee.
According to Sky Italia and Nicolo Schira, the Rossoneri leadership have communicated to the player’s agent that they will not raise their bid above €38m plus bonuses.
The latter goes on to state that Jimenez has suggested inserting a clause into the deal which would see the Rojiblancos recoup 30% of any future sale by Milan.
