Fiorentina are ready to make a fresh attempt to sign AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta this summer, according to reports.
It has not been an easy few months for Paqueta who has slipped down the pecking order under head coach Stefano Pioli after a difficult start to the season.
There have been numerous reports suggesting that he could leave Milan this summer just 18 months after arriving from Flamengo, with Paris Saint-Germain and Benfica among the sides linked.
One of the teams that were credited with interest in January were Fiorentina, and Calciomercato.com are reporting that ‘a new mission is ready’ as La Viola will try again to sign the Brazil international.
In addition, La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira is reporting that Fiorentina are keeping the pressure on regarding a move for Paqueta, and that contacts are still ongoing between the Florence-based club and his agent Eduardo Uram – directed by intermediary Davide Lippi – with Milan open to selling.
