AC Milan are close to being able to welcome Zlatan Ibrahimovic back into the fold as the striker is pushing to play tomorrow, reports claim.
The Swedish centre-forward has a great desire to return to the field and help the team, especially one that is already battling lots of selection problems. He has been out since the 3-1 win away at Napoli, having suffered a new muscle problem that stopped him returning for the game in Sassuolo before Christmas.
According to reports from Sky Italia, Ibrahimovic worked partially with the rest of the group in today’s training. It is not yet clear whether he will be available against Torino or not, but it is clear that he is now close to full recovery.
However, MilanNews report that the 39-year-old will likely not even be called up for tomorrow’s match against Torino. For Ibrahimovic, the medical staff have opted for a gradual return, so therefore on the bench against Torino in the Italian Cup in midweek and then starting on Monday 18 January against Cagliari.
