Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not report to Milanello on Monday for the reconvening of the Milan squad ahead of the beginning of preseason preparations.
Both MilanNews and Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio are reporting that the Swede will not be at the training headquarters tomorrow to undergo his COVID-19 test ahead of Tuesday’s return to training.
That is because even more time is needed to find an agreement on the renewal. The deal is not yet closed, as the Rossoneri are hoping that Zlatan will drop from the €7million net request, but there is no deadline.
It is reported by multiple outlets that the current offer on the table from Milan is €6million, meaning the distance between offer and demand is not so great, but still enough to mean that the 38-year-old will likely miss the start of preseason.
Developments are expected later on Sunday when Mino Raiola will speak live to Sky Italia.
