By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan appear to be pursuing a deal for Porto playmaker Otavia and have even offered him a contract, but there is reportedly strong competition.

According to what A Bola in Portugal (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, Milan’s offer to Otavio is a four-year contract worth €1.5m net per season, therefore €6m in total and around €12m gross salary (before tax amount). The Rossoneri are strongly pursing the player, who has been followed by Roma for a long time.

According to TMW, there is not only Roma who will provide competition for Otavio, because offers have also arrived from Juventus, Napoli and Milan, as well as Leicester of the Premier League.

The Giallorossi remain ahead of the others, but there has also been a phone call from Paolo Maldini to the player. Porto are unlikely to be able to convince him to stay beyond the his contract expiry in June.

The 25-year-old has 17 goals and 45 assists in 166 competitive games for the Portuguese club.
