Reports: Milan ask Genoa and Sassuolo about striker Scamacca – the response

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan enquired about Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca, a journalist has claimed, but they did not get very far.

A number of recent reports have claimed that the Rossoneri are keen on signing Scamacca but there is a complication regarding his situation given that he is owned by Sassuolo but on loan at Genoa for the season.

According to Pietro Mazzara of MilanNews on Twitter, Milan asked about Scamacca after their 2-1 win over Sassuolo earlier in the month, however their sporting director Carnevali made it clear that the player is not for sale at the moment.

Meanwhile, Pietro Balzano Prota adds another detail in reply to Mazzara’s tweet, stating that the Rossoneri also asked Genoa about the young striker after their 2-2 draw at the Marassi which came before the Sassuolo game.

They asked about how he has been performing, which definitely implies that there is a genuine interest on the part of the Milan management.
