Reports: Milan close to being able to welcome back two remaining injured players

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan should soon be able to welcome back the two remaining players who are currently recovering from injuries, according to reports.

According to this morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews), the absence of Ismael Bennacer in the middle of the field is hurting Milan. The Algeria international is one of the pillars of Pioli’s team and is a player with unique characteristics in the current Milan squad. The paper claims that the player should return for the match against Udinese on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) take stock of Mario Mandzukic’s injury, reporting that his recovery times will be defined at the beginning of the week. The paper claims that Pioli hopes to have the Croatian centre-forward available soon, as he is a precious alternative for the attack. The veteran striker is struggling with a slight but annoying muscle problem and his return should not be far away.
