AC Milan appear to be closing in on their first signing of the January window and have beaten Napoli to the coup, reports claim.
According to what is being reported by La Stampa this morning (via MilanNews), Milan are ahead of Napoli in the race for Soualiho Meité of Torino. The Rossoneri and the Granata are close to an agreement after the meeting on Saturday between the two sporting directors before the league match between the two sides.
In addition to that, there were positive phone calls conducted yesterday which brought the parties closer together. The transfer of the 26-year-old should take place on the basis of a paid loan until the end of the season of around €1m, with an option to buy set at €10m.
Meanwhile, today’s edition of La Repubblica (via MilanNews) confirms that Milan are close to signing a reinforcement for Pioli’s midfield, and that Meite should arrive on a €1m loan with €10m option, as La Stampa report.
