Reports: Milan hold talks with Brazilian club over €10m man identified to fix gap in squad

AC Milan have reignited contacts with Palmeiras for full-back Matias Vina in the past few hours, according to a report.

It has been well documented by various media outlets that Milan want to sign a new deputy to Theo Hernandez ahead of the 2020-21 season, with Ricardo Rodriguez having secured a move to Torino last week and suggestions that Diego Laxalt will also look to move on after two years at San Siro.

According to Sky (via MilanNews), Milan have seemingly identified Laxalt’s compatriot in Palmeiras defender Matias Vina as the man to take the spot that he current holds.

The 22-year-old was a target before he secured a move to Palmeiras, but he has made just eight appearances for the Sao Paulo club since his January switch.

Meanwhile Tuttosport (via MilanNews) are reporting that the price tag for Vina has been fixed at €10million, which is around €7m more than Rodriguez left for Torino for.
