AC Milan are working on the signing of Sassuolo-owned striker Gianluca Scamacca for the summer, a report claims.
Although numerous outlets are reporting that the Rossoneri will not replace Krzysztof Piatek – who joined Hertha Berlin on Thursday – between now and Friday’s 8pm deadline, the attacking department is still on Maldini and Boban’s minds.
It was first reported by seriebnews.com that Milan’s chief scout Geoffrey Moncada likes the look of Scamacca, who has 10 goals this season in all competitions on loan at Serie B side Ascoli.
According to the latest from the tuttomercatoweb.com network, the Rossoneri are still thinking of signing Scamacca, but they face competition from Benfica who made an attempt to sign him but could not reach an agreement. Roma have also been linked.
Meanwhile, Radio Rossonera’s Pietro Balzano Prota is reporting that Milan held talks with the player’s entourage on Thursday, after the excellent reports received by club scouts.
Scamacca has the profile of a talented young striker ideal grow behind a starter, and could come back strongly in fashion this coming June.
