Reports: Milan ready to negotiate extension of winger after top European clubs show interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to secure their young core for the future and are working on more renewals, according to a report.

MilanNews writes that – after Kjaer and Saelemaekers signed new deals recently and Calabria did over the summer – Theo Hernandez and Ismael Bennacer are on the list of players that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara want to try and get to extend their contract with a pay rise from their current €1.5m net per season.

The same goes for Rafael Leao though as the Portuguese winger is proving his worth and, if he were to remain at this level of performance, he could also receive a renewal offer despite the many advances from some of the top European clubs.

Calciomercato.com also report that Milan are thinking about extending Leao’s deal beyond the current 2024 deadline having been impressed with his growth and with their belief in him increasing for the future.
