AC Milan announced the departure of the now former Primavera coach Federico Guidi last night. According to several reports, they have now identified his replacement.
The announcement came out of nowhere last night, as the Primavera side had a successful season as a whole, reaching the Coppa Italia final and making the Scudetto play-offs. Given the overall struggles on the youth side, it was always going to get reactions.

It was made clear in the statement that Guidi is leaving the Rossoneri ‘by mutual consent’, suggesting that both parties had a hand in the matter. Indeed, Guidi has attracted the interest of some Serie C clubs and that could be why he ultimately decided to leave.
In-house promotion on the cards
Milan have already identified the perfect replacement for Guidi, per outlets such as MilanNews, Calciomercato.com and Gianluca Di Marzio: Giovanni Renna. We are thus talking about a promotion as Renna currently manages the U17 side.
The U17 side made it all the way to the Scudetto final this past season, where they lost on penalties despite playing with a man down for some time. It sounds like a promising solution, in other words, although Guidi will be a hard one to replace.
It should be noted that no official announcement has been made yet, but the fact that Milan are opting for an in-house solution suggests it was mostly Guidi’s decision to part ways with the club.

They should be so the same thing with the first team. No need buy some random players again. Do with your inhouse replacement. Milan have primavera team & Futuro. Remember Barcelona play their 11 starting lineup from La Masia academy ? All the youngsters have the talents, the difference is you should trust it !!
