AC Milan have secured a deal for Real Madrid teenager Alex Jimenez who was thought to be the eventual replacement for Dani Carvajal, reports claim.
It has been reported by both Calciomercato.com and Relevo that the deal is done for the 18-year-old right back to move on loan to Milan with a right to make the deal permanent.
The expectation is that the deal will be fully sealed in the next few days. He is regarded as being one of the best prospects in the Real Madrid academy but he had a tough 2022/23 campaign, which is why Los Blancos are allowing him to explore other options.
He was expected to make a small break into the senior team during the season but injuries at key moments kept him away from Carlo Ancelotti’s squad selections.
The plan is for Jimenez to join the Primavera setup but he would train regularly with the first team.
the 4th right back now?
Not really. Kalulu is considered a CB now, so there is only Calabria and Florenzi, and Florenzi is perpetually injured. I think this a great move, as it could be another talented Madrid cantera player poached, and if he shows nothing there no compulsion to buy.
even if he is considered as CB he still gets game time on RB. So he is both. And truth be told he is better at RB.
