AC Milan have been linked with many players over the last few weeks but one of their key targets seems to be the striker Lois Openda. They are also interested in another Lens player, namely Seko Fofana.
The Rossoneri are keen on reinforcing the squad after too many ups and downs in the league this season. The midfield and attack are the two priorities, with a new striker expected as well as a central midfielder.
Calciomercato.com reported yesterday (read here) that Milan have made Lens striker Lois Openda one of their main targets. He has 19 goals in 36 games this season and Ricky Massara is now working on lowering the price tag.
Late last evening, Calciomercato.com added that Milan have made Seko Fofana their plan B for Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Therefore, the Rossoneri could perhaps set up a double deal with Lens this summer, negotiating a package price.
In the meantime, Milan are focused on the final two games of the season, hoping to secure a top-four finish with a win away at Juventus tomorrow evening.
Fofana should be the plan A instead.
Why? One player plays in the top ranked league for a club that usually challenges for the title and usually plays in the Champions league and the other plays for a club that is finishing second for the first time in living memory in the 5th ranked league after having already played in Serie A with Udinese and not having done enough to earn a transfer to a better club then. A quick check of the stats shows that Fofana has NO European experience. The choice between the two players should be a no-brainer for Loftus-Cheek.

Playing for a bigger club doesn’t mean a better player.
M&M already chose a player from a better league and more European experience over a player from lesser team and league with no European experience last summer and made a huge mistake.

Between Seko Fofana and Loftus Cheek, Seko definitely should be the plan A. Proven player in the league with characteristics that are needed way more than RLC.
RLC is not the same player anymore since he tore his Achilles tendon few years ago.
