AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is still testing positive for Coronavirus, reports claim, meaning he will miss the weekend’s trip to face Napoli.
With the international break currently ongoing, an increase of COVID-19 positives in the football world was expected. For Milan, though, none of the players have tested positive but instead manager Pioli, as the club confirmed on their website on Saturday.
The 55-year-old has been working with the players that aren’t on international duty at Milanello and after the quick test on Saturday morning, he tested positive. Fortunately, he hasn’t shown any symptoms yet and hopefully he will recover quickly, while all of the players are negative.
According to MilanNews, Pioli has undergone the molecular swab test to determine if he is indeed positive for COVID-19 and that test has also come back as positive.
He is still not showing any symptoms and continues to quarantine at home, but SportMediaset are reporting that he will now miss the trip to Naples to face Gattuso’s side and that Giacomo Murelli will be on the bench instead.
