AC Milan have an ally that they could exploit in order to get a favourable deal for Barcelona defender Junior Firpo, a report claims.
Speaking on Sky Italia yesterday evening (via MilanNews.it), Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed the Rossoneri’s interest in Firpo and the negotiations with Barcelona. The Spanish side have slapped a €20m price tag on the left-back, but Milan have another idea: a paid loan with an option to buy.
Although the negotiation is difficult, contacts continue between the parties and they might be able to find a solution, the journalist added.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Milan are indeed interested in the 24-year-old and are planning contacts with his representatives today.
Interestingly, one of the people who looks after his interests is Sufi Abdelkader, the father of Brahim Diaz who is currently on loan with the Rossoneri from parent club Real Madrid.
According to PianetaMilan journalist Louis Girardi, Brahim has already had a word with Firpo and has convinced him that joining Milan is the right move, and now all that remains is for a deal to be struck between the clubs.
