Ante Rebic has not recovered in time for Saturday’s derby against Inter, according to reports, leaving Stefano Pioli with a decision to make.
According to both MilanNews and Calciomercato.com, the expected bad news has been confirmed and Rebic will not be available to Pioli for the match against the Nerazzurri this weekend.
He had another meeting with the club’s medical staff on Thursday and it was decided not to rush the recovery time and to continue the conservative therapy, so as not to worsen the injury.
A new exam is expected at the beginning of next week to understand when Rebic will be able to return to action. After Inter, the Rossoneri have a tough trip to Celtic on Thursday night in their Europa League opener before hosting Roma at San Siro on the Sunday, so having him back for both of those games would still be a big boost.
