Reports: Roma star Dybala a strong doubt for Milan game on Friday

By Oliver Fisher -

Paulo Dybala has not picked up a muscle issue but he is still in doubt for Friday’s game between Roma and AC Milan, according to reports.

The Argentine limped off in the 68th minute of the match against Hellas Verona over the weekend, which seemed to suggest he had sustained another muscle issue, but the MRI he underwent this morning ruled out any injuries.

According to SportMediaset (via MilanNews), La Joya will still miss the next match against Milan in Serie A scheduled for Friday 1 September, even if his condition will be evaluated day by day.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via RomaPress) are reporting that the former Juventus man is feeling less pain and is ‘showing encouraging signs of recovery’, with Jose Mourinho expected to monitor his situation over the coming days.

Despite the positive news, there are no guarantees that the Argentine will be able to play against the Rossoneri in four days.

  1. Hopefully he won’t be able to recover for the match, he is clearly Roma best threat and creativity.

Just a shame such a player being plagued with injuries through his career though.

    1. Why? It’s better that he plays so we can judge how well we stack up against game changers. Dybala is a baller when he is fit.

You’ll hear Romanisti complain “But we didn’t have Dybala…”

Just like I hope Inter is at full strength when we play them.

    1. Remember how some people so badly wanted us to sign Sanches and Dybala? LOL. Those two spend 50% of the season on the treatment table, if not more. Bullets dodged.

  2. It’s only match 2 and this guy already done lol. Good thing Milan didn’t get him last season or it will be a headache how to sell him.
