Reports: Torino and Burnley emerge as options for ostracised Milan forward

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan striker Divock Origi could have a late route back to the Premier League, while interest from a Serie A side has reportedly also emerged.

Our latest Substack piece spoke about the situation surrounding Origi as well as Alexis Saelemaekers and Charles De Ketelaere, which has some exclusive info on their respective exclusions.

According to what is being reported by Matteo Moretto of Relevo, the possibility that Origi will make the switch to Sheffield United seems to have now evaporated given they signed Cameron Archer from Aston Villa.

However, two new hypotheses have emerged with five days to go before the window ends. The first is a potential move to Burnley, who were promoted back to the Premier League last season, and the other is Torino.

Pietro Mazzara of MilanNews confirms that the Granata have made an enquiry about Origi but it has not gone any further than that yet.

  1. Torino looks really interesting for him given the striker situation. But I’m not convinced he’s that much a Serie A striker. I’d see him happy in France.
Burnley to me sounds shocking. I’m not convinced that’d work.

  2. If they can afford his salary it’ll be a win.

His salary is always the concern. Oh and thrive number of minutes played.
