AC Milan’s centre-back pursuit continues to involve a lot of names, and according to a report, the Rossoneri have added Besiktas man to their list. Meanwhile, three targets are not convincing them for now.
Unlike the striker pursuit, which ended with the signing of Niclas Füllkrug, Milan have been linked with a plethora of names for the centre-back position. Clearly, a lot more centre-backs are available in January than strikers, but this has also made things difficult.

Indeed, Igli Tare and his colleagues have been forced to evaluate several opportunities just in the last few weeks, with many agents knocking on the door. At least with the striker pursuit, Füllkrug was more or less the only solution that fit Milan’s demands.
No standout target yet
According to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (via Francesco Nasato), the likes of Niklas Süle, Axel Disasi and Radu Dragusin have all been offered to the Rossoneri. However, none of these options have convinced Tare and the management enough to take concrete steps.

In the meantime, as reported by the reputable Turkish journalist Yagız Sabuncuoglu, Milan have added Besiktas defender Emirhan Topcu to their ‘long list of targets’. They are currently evaluating the 25-year-old, per the report.
No decision has been made on the primary target for the defence, evidently, but Milan will have to make up their mind relatively soon. Unless they want to wait for last-minute opportunities, of course, but that’s a risky game too.

Gila and Lucumi are the only ones we should be thinking about imo… good price range, Serie A experience – instant impact
Come on please dont add additionnal Tomori or Pavlo, bring some Italians whose got used to Serie A.
We should bring proven Serie A players
I’ve tuned in to the Brighton v West Ham match to get a look and this Forum’s highly recommended Italian defensive target, Diego Coppola. But he’s on the Brighton bench yet again. Brighton aren’t exactly loaded with top defensive talent, so I’m not sure why he isn’t in their team.
I’m colombian and very familiar with Lucumi. Great guy, extremely solid defender. At least with the NT he gives me early Tomori vibes. Great when he’s focused, but every once in a while, once a game or once every few games he sleeps for 2 mins. That’s when they score on us. It is perhaps the reason he hasnt been on the radar of any big club so far. I guess it’s a colombian curse, Zapata used to be that way too lol
Be Winter Is so low quality. better CBs needed
He improved vs cagliari and looked like he had more confidence in wouldn’t get rid of him and keep him as a rotation.
Why don’t you offer some suggestions? Who do you think Milan should buy?
