Repubblica: Ibrahimovic makes Napoli preferred destination despite Milan links

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly made it his preference to join Napoli amid persistent speculation surrounding a return to Milan.

It was announced via the LA Galaxy’s official website on Wednesday night that Ibrahimovic would leave the club when his contract expires at the end of December, meaning he will be free to sign with a new team in January.

A number of teams have been credited with interest over the past few weeks including Bologna and Manchester United, however it is Milan who have been the most seriously linked with the 38-year-old.

Sport Mediaset journalist Claudio Raimondi recently claimed (via MilanNews.it) that Zlatan has made it clear that a reunion with Milan is his first choice, with Elliott Management happy to sign him under certain conditions.

However, according to La Repubblica – as cited by MilanNews.it – the preference of the Swedish striker is to team up with Carlo Ancelotti at Napoli.
