Repubblica: Juventus not giving up on Milan target Chiesa but a winger must be sold first

By Oliver Fisher -

Juventus have not given up on the idea of signing Federico Chiesa from Fiorentina, a report claims, amid speculation linking the winger to Milan.

The Rossoneri have welcomed the signings of Brahim Diaz, Sandro Tonali and Ciprian Tatarusanu as well as having secured the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a permanent deal for Ante Rebic.

However, Chiesa is a name that continues to be linked as a potential dream signing to fully complete the squad for the season ahead.

According to Thursday’s edition of La Repubblica (via Calciomercato.com) though, they may have competition.

That is because Juventus have not closed the door on signing the 22-year-old Italy international just yet, the at the moment the operation would be economically unsustainable for the Bianconeri.

If a concrete offer for Douglas Costa arrives it would be considered, and the proceeds would then be turned over to Fiorentina to potentially sign Chiesa.
