Repubblica: Leeds win the race for €35m-rated Udinese star linked with Milan and Juventus

Leeds United have won the race to land Udinese star Rodrigo De Paul despite interest from some of Italy’s top clubs, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com recently reported that Zenit have reached out to discuss a potential move for the €35m-rated creative midfielder after Leeds made an attempt to sign him over the past couple of weeks.

However, they added that the 26-year-old – who is also apparently wanted by both Milan clubs – has made it his mission to join one of the top sides in Serie A, with Juventus currently his preferred destination.

However, according to La Repubblica, De Paul will instead head to the Premier League and join up with his compatriot Marcelo Bielsa at Leeds.

The report notes how Juve, Lazio, Inter, Milan and Roma have all been linked with a move for the versatile creative midfielder, but it appears that he has made his choice and a move to West Yorkshire is on the horizon.
