AC Milan are one of the clubs interested in landing Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina but they are not the favourites, a report claims.
Milenkovic has been repeatedly linked with a move to Milan over the past few months as he is on a contract which is set to expire in June 2022, meaning he is approaching an important crossroads.
According to La Repubblica (via CM.it), the Serbia international does not want to renew with Fiorentina. It seems unlikely that he will extend his deal at all therefore, and the farewell is an increasingly concrete scenario.
Milenkovic now seems ready to take flight and move to a big club, the report claims, but probably not in Italy. The destination of the 22-year-old could well be England as Manchester United are the team on pole for the centre-back.
Inter, Milan and Juventus are now in the background, and the Red Devils are preparing to overtake the Italian trio and pay the €35m asking price set by La Viola.
