Manchester United have joined rivals Manchester City and Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Ismael Bennacer, a report claims.
Friday’s edition of il Corriere dello Sport confirmed previous discretions from France claiming that PSG and Man City are strongly interested in signing Bennacer.
The Rossoneri have already rejected a €30million proposal from the Ligue 1 club for the 22-year-old, but there is talk of a phone call from coach Pep Guardiola to the player to probe the ground, even if Milan will not him leave for less than his €50million release clause.
According to the latest from French outlet RMC Sport – as cited by Sportsmole – Manchester United are the latest club to register interest in the Algeria international, who won Player of the Tournament at the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
It has been reported by numerous sources though that his €50m clause must be paid in one instalment, meaning Milan are ‘calm’ about Bennacer’s future as – given the economic crisis football is suffering – it is unlikely any club will stump up the cash.
