CM: Romagnoli expected to sign contract worth over €17m net and confirm Milan exit

By Oliver Fisher -

Alessio Romagnoli is close to leaving AC Milan after seven years as he has found an agreement with Lazio, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com state that Romagnoli will wear the shirt of his favourite team from next season as the meeting between the Lazio management and the entourage of the centre-back that happened yesterday in Formello produced a positive outcome.

After months of work, an agreement was found on the key aspects of the contract and they have found a meeting point on the basis of a five-year deal worth approximately €3m net per season as a fixed base, plus €500k of easily accessible bonuses. The total value of the deal therefore is a potential €17.5m net.

The player’s willingness to move to the capital was decisive, also accepting a reduction in his salary compared to what he earns with the Rossoneri, and the signatures ‘should arrive in the next few days’ – potentially after Milan face the Biancocelesti at the Stadio Olimpico on April 24.
